Sustainability
We are a small label, and we'd rather grow slowly than waste beautifully. Here is exactly what we do today — and what we're still working on.
What we do today
- Small-batch production: we make in limited runs so unsold stock doesn't become waste.
- Recycled base metals: our brass and stainless steel components use recycled content wherever our suppliers can provide it.
- Plastic-free outer packaging: recyclable kraft boxes, paper tape and cotton pouches instead of bubble wrap.
- Made in India: producing close to home keeps transport emissions and travel between workshops low.
- Repair before replace: we re-polish and re-plate eligible pieces so they stay in your jewellery box longer.
Longevity is the point
The most sustainable piece of jewellery is the one you keep wearing. That's why we invest in anti-tarnish finishes, secure clasps and comfortable weights — pieces that survive daily life instead of being replaced every season.
What we're still working on
- Publishing a full supplier list as our partner workshops grow with us.
- A take-back programme so old D'ishq pieces can be re-melted rather than discarded.
- Reducing paper inserts inside each order in favour of digital care cards.
